Prosegur launches

Madrid, 7 March 2023- Prosegur, a global leader in private security solutions, has launched its ‘No Labels’ campaign to coincide with International Women's Day. Reflecting the company's commitment to gender equality and labor rights, the year-long gender equality initiative will be rolled out in all the Spanish-speaking countries where it operates, as well as in Brazil. ‘No Labels’ challenges barriers and will help create discrimination-free work environments, places where neither gender or other personal characteristics are an obstacle for the professional development of the more than 160,000 people who make up the organization around the world.

As part of the launch, Prosegur has organized "No labels: redefining gender power", a conference led by the renowned expert in female empowerment, Marta Puente. "The ‘No Labels’ campaign, and this event, are a reflection of the organization's commitment to pro-actively preventing unconscious biases from limiting our true collective potential,” explains  Maria Victoria Jiménez De Pablo, Global Director of Labor Relations at Prosegur, adding: "It is another step toward making Prosegur a workspace where respect, inclusion and equity are unquestionable.”

Over the course of the day, Miguel Soler, global head of legal and compliance, and María Fernández de Córdoba, General Director of AVOS Tech, outlined Prosegur's diversity strategy of promoting inclusion and maximizing female talent within the organization. "Prosegur is firmly committed to promoting equal opportunities and creating a work environment without discrimination, which reflects a global effort to achieve gender equality. Our female representation, which currently stands at 22.4%, already exceeds the industry average, and we continue to strive to increase this percentage," Soler said.

María Fernández de Córdoba spoke of the importance of ‘No Labels’ leadership: "We firmly believe that effective leadership transcends gender labels. It is essential to cultivate an environment where skills, talent, and dedication are the only factors that define a leader. We are committed to furthering this vision, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued equally, regardless of gender.

Prosegur's diversity strategy focuses on promoting gender equality, aligning itself with global initiatives such as the UN Women's Empowerment Principles, signing the Diversity Charter, or participating in the UN Global Compact’s Target Gender Equality 2023-2024, through which the company has reaffirmed its commitment to effective equality policies.

The company is a pioneer in implementing equality and diversity policies in the security sector through programs such as Empowered Women. Launched in 2021 in 16 countries, the initiative attracted a growing number of participants, demonstrating the alignment between the needs of its staff and its objectives. This commitment is reinforced by the implementation of Prosegur’s third Equality Plan, covering the period 2023-2027, which includes updated protocols to prevent harassment and support for female workers who are victims of gender-based violence.

Launched on International Women’s Day, the ‘No Labels’ campaign will run throughout the year, reaffirming Prosegur's commitment to an inclusive and diverse work culture, where each individual can thrive without the need to overcome barriers.
