We are Prosegur

Building a safer world

Juan Luis Martín Carrera leads the company’s human resources strategy, with a clear commitment to the overall wellbeing, training, and recognition of its thousands of employees.

“We care about people” isn’t just a slogan , it’s the foundation of an entire strategy. That’s something Juan Luis Martín Carrera, Global HR Director at Prosegur, understands well. He oversees the day-to-day wellbeing of the company’s more than 175,000 employees across 36 countries, making Prosegur the second-largest Spanish employer worldwide.

According to Martín, this represents a “responsibility that goes far beyond traditional talent management,” one that requires a deeper commitment. To truly listen to and connect with its workforce, Prosegur has launched the Voice of the Employee project, a tool that gathers insights through regular surveys

“Being the second-largest Spanish multinational in terms of global workforce makes us a driver of employment.”

“In the latest edition, we collected over 5,000 comments, which we analysed using AI to identify less obvious needs,” the executive explains. Another key pillar is the company’s Corporate University, which gives more than 100,000 employees access to specialised content that helps them “stay up to date with the latest technologies and market trends.”

In addition, the company has strengthened its wellbeing programme, PRO360, “with a proactive, preventive and participative approach aimed at improving quality of life.”

When it comes to diversity, in 2025 Prosegur became the first private security company to be included in the Financial Times’ Diversity Leaders ranking. One example is its #EmpoweredWomen programme, which has already supported more than 330 women across 16 countries, along with the company’s open Ethics Channel for employees.

“Prosegur is a driver of job creation and economic growth in the 36 countries where it operates across five continents. Managing people in a global organisation means far more than overseeing employees, it means being able to positively impact the development and quality of life of hundreds of thousands of families around the world,” says Martín.
