Artificial intelligence and new products take center stage at Prosegur's sixth Innovation Conference

Madrid, November 22, 2023.- The Prosegur Group, a global leader in private security, has held a successful sixth annual Innovation Conference, focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the development of new products as central axes of its strategy. Going forward, the company has set itself the goal that by 2030, 50% of its sales will come from new products, reflecting its ambition to grow through technological innovation and services.

This year has been key for the group, with the integration of AI across all its business lines, improving operational efficiency and enriching its product and service offering in the process. Technological investment has driven the development of innovative products, diversifying business lines and expanding the scope of the market. As Maite Rodríguez, CFO of Prosegur, points out, “investment in technology is fundamental to the company's growth and development strategy.”

Innovation and Leadership in its Five Main Lines of Business

At Prosegur Security, more than 32% of customers already benefit from advanced hybrid security solutions. Fernando Abos, CEO of Prosegur Security, emphasizes the importance of combining technology and the human factor to meet customer needs. “Prosegur already has 14 iSOCs, interconnected global operations centers, the heart of its Hybrid Security strategy, a strategic balance between people and advanced technology, notably AI and data. A benchmark for innovation in the sector, iSOCS are driving the remarkable growth of Prosegur’s business in all geographies, notably the United States, Spain and Brazil.”

At Prosegur Cash, the market continues to welcome new products, driving growth in areas such as foreign exchange (Forex), machines for automating the use of cash (Cash Today) and correspondent banking (Corban). José Antonio Lasanta, CEO of Prosegur Cash, highlights this expansion as a key element for the success of the business. “The announcement of a new crypto bunker in Brazil marks a significant step forward in the division’s international expansion,” he notes, adding that integrating AI into all operations is a priority objective for the coming months, with a view to optimizing operational efficiency

Similarly, the integration of AI has substantially improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the Alarms division. Javier Cabrerizo, CEO of the Prosegur Alarms, underscores the importance of AI in customer behavior prediction models: “These reduce churn rates, as well as in the video and image management platform, which improves home protection. In addition, initiatives are being implemented to improve customer service levels in the Call Center and Alarm Receiving Center (ARC).”

Jaime Ron, CEO of Prosegur Tech, brings together the Cipher cybersecurity unit and the AVOS Tech business process outsourcing unit, points out that innovation is a key pillar in all of Prosegur's businesses: “The company not only embraces state-of-the-art technology, but integrates it into the heart of its business strategy. This positions Prosegur as a leader of today, but also as an architect of the future in security and technology, focusing on innovation, comprehensive protection and the well-being of customers.”

María Fernández de Córdoba, CEO of AVOS Tech, explains how her division is evolving towards a platform of value-as-a-service, focusing on comprehensive solutions for the financial services and insurance industry, among others, explaining: "This change includes integrating generative AI into our proprietary software, and connecting these products with BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) service platforms."

Cipher has also enjoyed a great year thanks to the development of xMDR, an AI-powered solution that adapts to the specific needs of each customer, says David Fernandez Granado, the division’s CEO, who illustrates xMDR’s effectiveness with a practical example: “In one week, 12,000 alerts were filtered for a single customer, identifying 120 real incidents and eliminating 99% of irrelevant alerts.”

With a firm eye on the future, Prosegur continues to lead the way in the convergence between security, technology and innovation. "Each new solution we develop brings us closer to a future where security and technology advance hand in hand to create a safer and more connected environment,"  the company concludes.
