Prosegur adds Quuppa Intelligent Locating System to iTrack platform
Helsinki & Madrid – 21st December 2015.-Prosegur and Quuppa announced today an agreement to resell and distribute the Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™ as part of the Prosegur iTrack MRM (Mobile Resources Management) Platform in the entire Prosegur footprint.
 
Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™ is a powerful technology platform for novel Location Based Services and applications, that require accurate and reliable indoor positioning. It enables real-time tracking of Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) -enabled smart Tags and devices. This  technology, developed by Quuppa, a Finnish technology company,  gives customers the ability to precisely track the location and movement of any object, even fast-moving ones, with less than one meter positioning accuracy.
Among the services offered by Prosegur, iTrack –a Prosegur’s development- is a Mobile Resources Management platform based on Indoor Positioning technologies. It enables knowing in real time the location and availability of security resources, leading to fully efficient use of them. For example, once an alert is activated, the security service arrives immediately because the alert will be assigned to the resources closest to the event.
 
iTrack implementation translates into a higher level of safety and security in a planned, auditable manner and in real time. Thus, the new solution allows defining and monitoring service levels in a tangible way. In addition to security services, the use of iTrack could be extended to other services, such as concierge, cleaning, maintenance, logistics, etc. With iTrack, customers manage their resources efficiently, minimize response time and thus, ultimately, improve the visitors’, users’ and internal clients’, experience.
 
Furthermore, the new Prosegur platform, improved with Quuppa technology, allows for assigning critical tasks to different service groups and thus achieving traceability and automation. These tasks can be daily services, for example security rounds or supplies delivery; or they can be responses to exceptional situations, such as emergency procedures. In other words, with iTrack, customers can control the location of their resources and areas reviewed at the time of an evacuation.

In the case of iTrack, Meeus noticed that “it allows redefining the teams assigned to the different services and assigning them new tasks as needed in real-time. He can also monitor service coverage in real time, together with improving emergency and evacuation plan and procedures.” Therefore, Meeus asserted that this agreement with Quuppa enables Prosegur to offer their customers most efficient guarding solutions, plus additional features that help manage valuable assets and business critical processes.
 
At the same time, Kimmo Kalliolla, CEO of Quuppa, noted that an accurate and reliable real-time location is a vital piece of today’s MRM solutions.
