Prosegur attends CELAES 2012, the world's biggest bank security conference
In order to enhance processes in the financial sector, the Company will present its vision of “the bank branch of the future”.
Prosegur will participate in the 27th edition of the world's biggest bank security conference, CELAES 2012, hosted by the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA) and the Latin American Banking Federation (FELABAN) in Miami on the 20th and 21st September.
Prosegur, which operates in eight Latin American countries, will offer specialist solutions for the banking sector. During the conference, and against the backdrop of restructuring among financial institutions, Prosegur will present its vision of “the bank branch of the future”. Having analyzed the potential risk areas for branches, the Company has designed a series of integrated security services that are specially tailored for the financial sector.
Prosegur, which currently manages 35,000 ATMs globally, has included integrated ATM management in its proposal, in order to optimize cash processes via specific analytical tools, CIT services and maintenance and supply planning for ATMs. Another of the innovations in this project, as well as automation of cash processes, is the outsourcing of ATM management, aimed at enhancing processes and generating internal savings, with efforts focusing on the branch's commercial activity. In this regard, as part of its unyielding drive for innovation, Prosegur has launched a innovative solution called “Multi-agency” which entails setting up branches with customer services desks, ATM areas and positions for commercial use. From these agencies it will be possible to make cash deposits and withdrawals, payments, currency sale-purchases and different payments, among other services.
Furthermore, based on the record of consumption at each entity, Prosegur can actually pre-empt the cash requirements of ATMs, branches and vaults. Accordingly, it establishes the amount and duration of supply so as to provide the necessary sum of cash at precisely the right time, thereby minimizing costs. As a strategic partner in electronic security, the Company completed the design of this “bank branch of the future” with a range of solutions comprising the installation, launch, maintenance and integration of security systems. Prosegur also proposes the installation of cutting-edge fire prevention systems which, as well as protecting human lives and goods, reduce insurance premiums and, in the event of an accident, help safeguard property. Finally, future branches will also benefit from manned guarding personnel, integrated into daily operations, to help reduce theft, control cash handling and comply with internal procedures.
Around 500 executives from 200 financial institutions in 30 countries will attend CELAES 2012, including the heads of banking operations, security, regulation, fraud detection and software systems from the leading banks of Latin America. Representatives of US and European financial institutions will also be there.
