Prosegur strengthens its leadership in Latin America with the acquisition in Brazil of Nordeste Segurança and Transbank

Prosegur has acquired Nordeste Segurança and Transbank, important private security companies in the Brazilian market. This locally financed transaction came to 359 million Euros.

Specialists in Cash in Transit, Guarding and Technology, both companies are present in 13 states in northeast Brazil (52 offices) with a portfolio of over 15,000 customers spread between financial institutions, large consumer companies and private customers served by close to 21,000 employees. Present in one of Brazil’s fastest growing and most economically dynamic areas, in 2011 their turnover came to 345 million Euros.

30 years after Prosegur’s arrival in Brazil, this operation cements the company's position as the only supplier of global security services in a country able to offer its customers a fully comprehensive service. This acquisition now makes Brazil Prosegur’s main market in terms of business volume and number of employees, over 51,000.

The acquisition shows that Prosegur remains firmly committed to its leadership strategy in all its markets and business lines.
