Prosegur reinforces its leadership position in Latin America with two new acquisitions

Martom in Brazil, in the area of Technology and, Telemergencia in Peru, in the area of Residential Security, confirm the strategy of the Company in its consolidation of all the business areas in the markets where it operates. These two new acquisitions, added to the other two carried out during 2010 in the area of Technology in Argentina and Uruguay, reinforce the leadership of Prosegur in Latin America.

Prosegur continues its commitment to the Latin American market and to demonstrate it has acquired two new companies in Brazil and Peru.

In Brazil, it has acquired Compañía Martom Segurança Electrōnica Ltda., dedicated to the Monitoring of banking offices and currently has more than 5,000 installed points and a solid client base. In Peru, it has acquired Telemergencia, one of the main competitors in the residential security market with more than 8,000 clients.

These acquisitions can be added to those of Genper in Uruguay and Tellex in Argentina also carried out during the present year, and reinforce the technology and alarm business areas, reaffirming the leadership of Prosegur in the sector of private security in Latin America.
