Over 90 students benefited from “Prosegur Talent Scholarships” in Singapore

Prosegur has awarded its “Talent Scholarships”, a grant programme that in Singapore celebrates its second edition and aims to support the schooling, university education and vocational training of its children employees, most of them security officers. A total of 92 students have benefited from this initiative this year in a ceremony held at NTUC in One Marina Boulevard.

As proof of its commitment to education, the Prosegur Foundation, entrusted with implementing the programme in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, has awarded scholarships to 13 primary education students, along with 50 kits with school material for students aged between 6 and 12 years old. Furthermore, bursaries were handed out to older recipients in secondary schools, pre-universities and universities, all of whom are the employee’s children. A total of 16 secondary students and 13 pre-university students and undergraduates were given this award, which recognises outstanding academic performance in their schoolwork.

The “Prosegur Talent Scholarships” was introduced in 2008 and seeks to foster education as a tool for development. It also recognises employees whose children have exceptional academic performance. In addition to Singapore, the initiative is implemented in other countries where Prosegur is present, such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay. A total of 1,245 grants have been awarded around the world in 2012. In Latin America, over 12,000 basic school kits have been handed out during the year to help the children of employees at the start of the school year.
