Prosegur Foundation deepens its social commitment across 14 countries in Latin America

Madrid, 2 February 2026 – Fundación Prosegur, the Prosegur Group’s non-profit social action organization, has consolidated its programs in 2025, expanding the geographical reach of its mission to create development opportunities.

Within its priority field of action, education, its standout Piecitos Colorados Development Cooperation program currently benefits more than 5,000 students from vulnerable environments. The initiative works with 38 schools in eight countries – Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay – focusing on quality education as a lever for social transformation.

A comprehensive intervention model has helped schools strengthen basic literacy skills, expand nutritional training and use new technologies in the classroom, with a focus on teacher training and reducing the digital divide. Thanks to these initiatives, more than 2,800 students have learned about robotics and programming; more than 1,100 students have improved their reading skills and 127 teachers have used AI for the first time, providing them with new pedagogical tools.

Strategic alliances

Likewise, its work has been consolidated by generating alliances with related organizations, taking advantage of synergies for greater reach. Of particular note is the collaboration with Fundación BBVA Perú to implement the Leer es estar adelante (Reading is being ahead) literacy program in the country's Piecitos Colorados schools. On the other hand, together with the Botín Foundation, the first social innovation program, "Challenge for Education", has been launched in Paraguay. This initiative – which is supported by the Spanish Embassy –offers tools and training to social entities that address educational challenges to strengthen their initiatives, collaborative work and thus support the professionalization of the sector.

Likewise, thanks to the close collaboration with the Prosegur Group’s different businesses, social initiatives have been carried out to meet new challenges. This shared value approach has resulted in workshops on personal security for schoolchildren together with Prosegur Security in Uruguay; basic financial education sessions in Piecitos schools with Prosegur Cash in Peru and Colombia and the donation of almost 10,000 technological devices refurbished with Prosegur Alarms in Peru and Argentina, aimed at strengthening the employability of young people in vulnerable situations.

Volunteering and the environment

Corporate volunteering remained a key pillar of the Prosegur Foundation's activity in 2025, with 2,210 employees and family members giving their time, an increase of 16.1% on 2024. Throughout the year, 115 solidarity days have been held in 13 countries, extending the territorial scope of volunteering to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua. To carry out this program, almost 1,900 hours of prior training and awareness have been provided. Among these activities, those aimed at caring for the environment stand out, with some 5,700 kilos of waste collected. In addition to these actions, more than 600 Latin American schoolchildren have received educational workshops on sustainability in the classroom.

Isabel Sampedro, Director of the Prosegur Foundation, describes 2025 as a year in which people continued to be at the center of everything the organization does. “With a focus on scalability, we have applied the know-how of our professionals to social impact activities and our partner ecosystem has continued to grow. With the support of all of them, we have made tangible our commitment to generate real development opportunities for people."
