Prosegur Cybersecurity develops new agentic application to detect its customers’ hidden threats

Madrid, 24 September 2026. – Prosegur Cybersecurity has launched a new software developed in-house allowing it to automatically locate hidden threats in its customers' environments based on continuously updated information on cyberattacks and malicious activities around the world.
The new tool, Retrospective Threat Hunting, is integrated into Prosegur’s SOC by xMDR service to increase the capacity to detect cyber threats.
This innovation leverages the threat intelligence continuously received by the SOC by xMDR service to automatically query all customers' historical data. In this way, whenever new relevant information about cybercriminals' activity is identified, the system immediately verifies whether there is new evidence in the monitored environments.
This capability provides significant visibility into threats that, at the time the original logs were generated, could not be identified because there was not yet sufficient information about the tactics, techniques, or procedures used by attackers. Thanks to this approach, organizations can detect potential compromises and reduce their exposure to latent risks.
As Carlos A. Fernández, director of the xMDR platform at Prosegur Cybersecurity, explains, "when Retrohunting detects a relevant match, it automatically generates a new investigation for the affected customer, which becomes part of the work of Prosegur Cybersecurity's specialists. Retrohunter combines automation and specialized supervision to speed up the validation of potential incidents and speed up the adoption of response measures when necessary".
