EMPLOYEES
EMPLOYEES
Prosegur has over 167,000 employees across 25 countries, who are provided with a safe, stable working environment. At the same time, it contributes to creating direct and indirect jobs, enhancing the economic growth of various regions.
COMMITMENT TO TALENT
Prosegur is convinced that the proper management of the talent and the individual success of its employees are essential conditions for ensuring value generation and the attainment of the global goals of the organization.
During the year 2018, Prosegur has implemented a new Talent Plan to help boost a culture of two-way communication, meritocracy and the way in which talent is encouraged. The Plan is structured into several aspects that help to complete the integral development of employees and their experience in the organization.
SUCCESS FACTORS IN TALENT MANAGEMENT AT PROSEGUR
Efficient policies and processes to achieve an ideal combination between technical and professional skills and personal values that represent the organization (honesty, responsibility, emotional balance and psychological maturity).
Firm commitment to training employees in various key areas for the performance of their tasks and their personal and professional growth, via innovative tools.
Initiatives that reward excellence and the good fulfilment of tasks in the various job profiles within the organization, permanently monitoring the evolution of each employee.
Internal communication platforms and channels that facilitate cascade communication and homogeneous messages in all group delegations, as well as the conveyance of organizational goals, strategy plans, messages etc. clearly and efficiently.
These are the breakthroughs in the Talent Plan in 2018:
A number of methods adapted to Prosegur have been applied to several projects, with the goal of encouraging cultural transformation with new ways of working.
Work has been completed with the teams, globally and on a country by country basis, via workshops to define the Leadership Model that the company will use starting in 2019 to evaluate performance, individual talent plans, as well as seeking the best training and development methods.
Technology tools (Oracle) will be used to develop new talent processes (performance evaluation and development, among others).
Implementation of a new digital platform to boost the Prosegur Corporate University and its training catalogue.
EQUALITY PLAN
The percentage of female employees continues on the rise thanks to the efforts of recent years and women now represent 16.3 percent of all workers. As an essential measure to guarantee the effective equality between men and women, Prosegur has an Equality Plan in place.
Whereby Prosegur undertakes to ensure the inexistence of direct or indirect gender-related discrimination, especially in connection with motherhood, fatherhood, assumption of family obligations and marital status. The scope of the Equality Plan, as per Statute 3/2007, is limited to Spain. These are the main measures:
ACCESSIBLE, UNIVERSAL TRAINING
Permanent training for the staff at Prosegur is one of the foundations that makes its service offer stand apart, as well as representing a source of empowerment and personal and professional development for employees. On its online platform, Prosegur offers the Prosegur Corporate University, a virtual area where professionals can share their knowledge, sharing in the company's values, developing their talent and furthering their specialization via a shared culture. On this online platform, which was started in 2006 and was optimized in 2018 through the implementation of Cornerstone (an e-learning platform integrating collaborative tools and learning metrics).
Prosegur offers a distinct and heterogeneous catalogue of courses as part of the professional development plans for employees, which can vary by territory, adapting to the needs and requirements of every country and business.

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY
Prosegur abides by industry standards in the field of prevention of occupational hazards. The company invests in specific training for "occupational and job hazards, emergency measures and inspections,” and in the analysis of the accidents that occur, adopting measures to mitigate hazards. The company seeks to guarantee that employees work in adequate surroundings with the resources required for them to develop their work safely.
Goal
Zero accidents
This goal continues to be one of the key focal points in the development of Prosegur's operations, therefore special attention and efforts go into the prevention, management and monitoring of health and safety matters. Prosegur understands that dissemination and training in the fields of health and safety are essential to prevent and mitigate the occupational hazards associated to the performance of its work.

Training

Monitoring
Using tools that allow us to comprehensively control the accident rate, the causes of accidents and the facts involved in each accident. This allows us to apply improvements to the conditions at source in order to process potential accidents. Prosegur also has Health and Safety Committees for regular consultation in these matters.
Technology innovation
R&D developments in the field of Health and Safety have shown in 2018 through the optimization of control tools and with special plans to communicate and disseminate best practices.
